At first glance, these lights from Vancouver’s Blue Pine Studios appear to be three-dimensional, but they are actually engraved into flat, clear acrylic panels and illuminated with LEDs. The resulting geometric illusions look like they’re suspended in mid-air, floating over their wooden bases.
The light sculptures were launched via Kickstarter and are now for sale direct from the artists.
The lamp bases are made from two pieces of solid pine, machined with a CNC milling machine before being sanded and clear coated. The LED lights can be set to sixteen different colors or put into any of four light-changing modes. The lights are also dimmable, and come with a remote.
