Submersible yacht designed to offer complete privacy as a luxury living space and submarine

Ever dreamed of playing hide-and-seek under the sea and getting away from it all? Well, apparently, now you can – except you have to have a gazillion of money to do so.

Private yacht designer Migaloo Submarines recently dropped a submarine design that can trump even the most expensive sailboat in the world. The Migaloo is a concept designed and built as a yacht with a helipad, a deck pool, a movie theater, and can house eight VIP guests. It can also be submerged as deep as 787 feet underwater to offer its guest complete privacy. Each of the yachts will be built to U.S. Navy SUBSAFE safety standards.

Speaking about their new design, the Austria-based yacht design studio’s managing director Christian Gumpold explains that “what we are attempting to do is to create a living space where exterior and interior interact in harmony. Privacy is a big issue on superyachts. Our answer to this concern is simply submerging the vessel into complete privacy.”
