Ukrainian pastry chef uses mathematical algorithms in baking desserts

Dinara Kasko, a Ukraine-based pastry chef, is no stranger to taking risks. In fact, to make her cakes more intriguing and unique, she collaborates with mathematicians and incorporates mathematical algorithms in creating her desserts – and the results definitely make the Obsessive-Compulsive in us too mesmerized.

The final products boast amazing flavors, bold colors, and precise shapes. After researching and gathering algorithms, she then uses a 3D printer to produce her designs. And not two cakes are the same in terms of composition. Though based in a light sponge, the cakes are restaurant-worthy with its variety of ingredients. Grapefruit, strawberry, almond cream, white chocolate, and fruit syrups are just some of the ingredients she uses.

If you check Kasko’s website, you can buy one of her silicone molds to use for your next baking experiment.
