Sustainable resort resembling a leopard’s paw print the first of its kind in Sri Lanka

A subsidiary of Dilmah Tea in Sri Lanka recently commissioned Nomadic Resorts and Netherlands-based Bo Reudler Studio to design and build a resort that is influenced by local history and culture in Sri Lanka. The eco-resort called Wild Coast Tented Lodge is a 36-tent camp is located inside Yala National Park and has sweeping views of the Indian Ocean.

The resort is like no other. It is complete with all the basic requirements of a sophisticated resort: a spa facing the beach, a swimming pool, restaurant, and glamorous bamboo chandeliers. The clusters of lodges are designed to mimic its exterior surroundings and are shaped like a leopard’s paw print from bird’s eye view. Its bamboo structure and modern amenities give guests the feeling of priceless luxury while being one with the wild.
