Philippe Baudelocque has created a series of large-scale street art paintings, combining stars and animals on the streets of Paris.
“I prefer the experience of art rather than the final piece of art. That explains why, drawn out of chalk, the illustrations are ephemeral. A risk the artist is willing to take, because that’s how he started his series and that he would like it to end. The contrast between the black and white colors, the empty wall and the countless strokes bring another dimension to the illustrations…. The stars and the animals represent unattainable immensity, identifiable to a lot of us. The combination creates a fantastic scene where the possibilities of interpretations are infinite,” he said.
