Artist and biologist, Ernst Haeckel, created literally hundreds of gorgeous renderings of biological discoveries he made over the years.
The 19th-centruy German scientist studied all kinds of flora and fauna. And now, a book from Taschen has compiled the creative’s most visually-arresting works into a packed 704-page book. The work includes more than 450 drawings and loose sketches.
The book, titled The Art and Science of Ernst Haeckel, also contains a collection of 100 prints of organisms published between 1899 and 1904.
