These insects and flowers by Yuki Tsunoda are made from molded glass.
The 26-year-old Japanese sculptor molds tiny bits of soft Moretti glass employing the use of small tools along the way to create highly detailed, multicolor insects, flowers nearly to scale. Her aim is to do away with the feelings of disgust and repulsion commonly associated with insects. Tsunoda combines dichroic glass and aventurine to achieve that shiny, metallic look seen on the wings of one of the insects.
