Young artist spent 3 months creating Michael Jackson portrait using just string and nails

In a span of three months, Zenyk Palagniuk was able to create an amazing portrait of Michael Jackson.

The artist, who is just 21 years old, made the pop icon’s image using nothing but string and nails.

The portrait started out as a mere formation of nails, but when the artist started manipulating and placing the string, an artistic masterpiece was formed.

Palagniuk used a total of 15,000 nails for this project.

This isn’t his first work, he has done portraits using the same materials in the past years as well.

Zenyk Palagniuk says that most people have the preconception that art should be made from drawings or paintings, or garden sculptures. He believes in going beyond the confines of traditional medium and using whatever is available to create something beautiful. And his work is indeed beautiful. Check out some photos of his Michael Jackson portrait below and be awed by his sheer skill and talent.
