Nanoleaf’s “Ivy” lights offer unique design and controls for connected homes

Smart lighting is an essential part of a connected home and with a plethora of them in the market, it can be difficult to decide which one is right for you.

I stumbled upon startup Nanoleaf’s Smart Ivy connected light bulbs recently, and their unique aesthetic immediately caught my eye. They look like puzzles fit together with LEDs protruding from each pentagonal surface. The lights easily pair with the provided ‘smarter hub,’ which is compatible with Apple’s HomeKit platform. This means you can control the lights via Siri and the ‘Home’ app. Each bulb is not only dimmable but amazingly bright at 100% with a life of approx. 27 years. I’ve been using these for a couple of weeks now and they’ve turned me into a believer in the connected home movement. If you’re looking for smart lights with an extra ‘oomph!’, this is it!
