Hand-sewn fabric sculptures create dynamic bubbles of color

Artist Serena Garcia Dalla Venezia repurposes common materials into very uncommon scultpures.

The Chilean textile artist creates beautifully composed sculptures made up of neatly-arranged hand-sewn fabric balls. By grouping together of dozens of colorful fabric bubbles that vary in size and shape, a rich depth and texture begins to emerge.

The dynamic piece seems to transform before you as your eyes travel from one point to another. Check out the sculptures below and find more of Venezia’s large-scale installations on her website.
