Impressively detailed miniature replica of Charles Miner’s 1900s studio

Historically accurate depictions of places might be making a comeback. Ali Alamedy has built a miniature replica of Charles Miner’s photography studio.

The Turkey-based artist was inspired by the documented details of Miner’s photography studio in the early 1900s. Everything from the placement of chairs around the studio to the way that light entered and struck nearby objects led to an impressive 1:12 scale replica. With only a few photos available, Alamedy relied on written information for the most part. The detail in the set is amazing with the 1:12 scale camera having 124.2 mm folds all crafted by hand.

Check out the miniature photography studio below, and find more of Alamedy’s work on Instagram and Facebook.
