Mind-blowing music video uses 1,200 hand-painted frames

Ralf Hildenbeutel‘s new music video for Disco was made using 1,200 hand-painted frames and was directed by Boris Seewald. Using a technique called rotoscoping, dancers Althea Corlett and Simone Schmidt are masked into a series of drawings. The continuity displayed in the final edited version accentuates the graceful movements of the dancers thanks to animators Boris, Mina, and Mihwa Seewald, and videographer Georg Simbeni.
