Space is excruciatingly hard to depict in paintings because of its infinite variations. This only peaked artist Daniel Mullen’s interest.
Originally from Glasgow, Mullen received his BFA at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. His childhood fascination with architectural space developed the artistic style he champions today in his paintings that feature a variety of architectural volumes and shapes. The volumes make keen use of perspective as they are laid out in orderly, and at times, chaotic fashion.
His paintings are further bolstered by his unique rendering method which results in some pretty realistic looking glass. Check out some of the architectural paintings below and visit his website to see more!
