Art has been used for political commentary and satire for ages, and this next series just kicks up the humor in it all.
Fueled by his notoriety for creating political artworks, illustrator Gunduz Aghayev decided to approach the controversial topic of dictatorship. His latest series, “Just Leaders”, depicts iconic dictators of the past in their skeletal forms. Their bony facial features mimic their real life appearances while the dark, empty eye sockets and nostrils add a sense of horror and make them look downright scary. Check out some of the renditions below and visit Arghayev’s Facebook page for more.
