Ukrainian art director Alexey Kondakov has imagined what it would be like if figures from classical art lived normal urban lives. He uses Photoshop to plop the figures into different situations including a harp-playing street musician, an angel on the train, and a couple of nobles in a pub.
“I thought, ‘What if I invite these [gods] into our reality and imagine they are on streets of modern Kiev?,” he says. “… My project is about life.” In many cases, their unamused or sad expressions match the dark rotten conditions of public transportation making for humorously fitting combinations.
