Tiny watercolor paintings show skillful eye for details

Using a play on words and an incredible eye for detail, Lorraine Loots has crafted a plethora of ‘paintings for ants,’ as her website says. For four days of the week, Loots has a different hashtag and theme for her work.

#microcosmmondays showcases galaxies and planets that seem to be smaller than the cap of a bottle. #tinytuesdays includes a series of watercolors of books — including Ayn Rand’s The Fountainhead and F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. #fursday includes tiny animals like a sloth or dog. #freefridays is a mishmash of paintings and drawings, from pizza to old shoes.
