We have seen Star Wars invade different realms before, like Thomas Kinkade’s paintings, but never have we seen such a realistic depiction of the sci-fi story set in modern day Earth. Toronto-based photographer Thomas Dagg jumpstarts your imagination with his compositions showing iconic machines like Destroyers and AT-ATs casually inhabiting our civilization.
As a childhood fan of the cult movies, Dagg collected Star Wars memorabilia, including the model toys. In this series titled ‘Star Wars’ he uses the models from his youth to give realistic life to his black-and-white photographs. Dagg explains, “This is how the world was to me when I was young.”
