Let me hit you with some knowledge – Daguerreotype was a popular photography method back at the birth of photos where images were printed onto metal. You probably have an heirloom of great gammy on one. That’s what I’m talking about.

Well Illustrator and artist Terry Fan decided he had to have one or two of these with the cast of Star Wars, and the results are fantastic. Each character almost assumes a new identity, but their wardrobe and demeanor are still befitting of their notable story lines. Terry does all his work in pen or graphite first, then transfers his drawings to the computer where he custom renders them with lighting, effects and stroke patterns. Finally, for this series entitled ‘Victorian Wars,’ he had them printed on metal in the traditional Daguerreotype style.
