The amazing Abyss Table lets you gaze into the ocean’s depths

Duffy London layers the ‘Abyss Table’ in such a way that it looks like the ocean’s depths.

It is created using multiple layers of stacked glass and wood and it portrays the look of a topographical ocean map quite nicely.

London got the idea when he was looking into sheets of thick glass at his glass manufacturer’s factory and noticed how the material darkened as they added more layers.

This is the same way the sea looks as it deepens.

The end result is a work of art that is functional and has as much visual depth as the ocean itself.
