Strange faceless figures now inhabit buildings around Berlin

The Dutch street artist Daan Botlek is known in his country for painting white figures around his home city of Rotterdam.

In his new series of graffiti, Botlek has painted his faceless figures in the abandoned buildings of Berlin.

He uses these environments to position the characters in ways that seem to bring them to life and put them in peril.

His signature figures are created so they appear to be running and hiding in an abandoned buildings, climbing ladders and jumping off roofs.

Although the figures lack faces, Botlek has imbued the Keith Herring-like figures with emotion and movement.
