South African street artist Faith47 has created a handful of new works in her native country as well as in London over the past few months. She paints lively public murals of animals in a state of excitement or struggle. Her work evokes a sense of being on the brink of something larger than life: flight, death, battle, etc.
You can find animals like swans and lions in this recent work, and also a couple of appearances by a unicorn. Her work is symbolic of the human condition and can relate to many modern-day struggles. She draws from her personal experiences with injustice, poverty, and inequality in South Africa.
