If you were ever fascinated by those grotesquely detailed drawings from anatomy class, this is the artist for you. Salvatore Zanfrisco is an Italian illustrator with a proclivity for flesh and pop culture fusion.
In his new collection entitled “Anatomy Of” Zanfrisco pushes the boundaries of what we’re made of. In the traditional scientific style, detail is abundant in some very unseen places, but Zanfrisco also adds a few other things like guitars, Yoda, Mario and even candy bars. It all combines to deliver a very poignant message: Our flesh and blood is just a small part of what we’re made of.
