Kim Leunberger is a young photographer with a passion for travel. At an early age she was given a tiny toy car that she now uses to help document her photographic journeys. The result is one of the most interesting road journals I’ve ever seen.
Using wide apertures and colorful landscapes Kim skews size allowing her toy cars, vans and Vespas, to live large in their space. Through a technique she calls “wormelish” photography, Kim has learned to get down on the ground with her subjects, finding the right angles to give them credibility and story. Although they’re only miniatures, her pictures offer us a fresh perspective on the lives of our constant travel companions.
