The small tin-mining village of Kuala Lumpur has grown over the past 150 years into the largest city in Malaysia. The modern metropolis is now home to nearly 6.5 million people. Due to the rapid transformation, Kuala Lumpur is cutting edge in technology, design and efficiency. Architectural photographer Rob Whitworth has captured the essence of this amazing place in a short video called ‘Kuala Lumpur DAY-NIGHT.’
There were no compromises in the making of this beautiful film. The production took an incredible 5 months, 400 hours, 4 cameras, 40 shoots, 640 gigabytes of data and nearly 20,000 photographs. Whitworth explains the film, “My time lapse explores how the city changes from day to night highlighting how spaces dramatically alter during the course of a few hours.”
