We have featured the amazing works of Danish-born/New-York-based fashion photographer Torkil Gudnason before for his ‘Electric Blossom’ series. In many ways ‘Hot House’ is a continuation of his floral-themed still life photography. However, this time, the approach is a little more subdued. The natural botanical forms are lit, styled and shot to look as if they’re man-made sculptures.
Through his refined view, flowers reveal their sumptuous beauty in close-up. These photographs show curving petals and slender figures bathing under artful lighting against a colored backdrop. It’s a gorgeous study of shades, form, and layers.
