Shocking heads made of dismembered doll parts

Shocking heads made of dismembered doll parts

Transformer meets swamp monster in these creepy head sculptures by Freya Jobbins. From far away, these just look like hastily made assemblage sculptures, but up close it becomes clear that they are made up of dismembered dolls, Barbies, and toys.

In one sculpture a man’s forehead is made up of dozens of doll faces, another character’s hair is hundreds of Barbie arms. I’m not sure this art is about repurposing and recycling as much as it is simply intended to disturb and shock. To see more of this craziness check out Jobbin’s online gallery.
