“If my images are my voice, I never want to be an eco…” (Tim Tadder).
Portrait and sports photographer, Tim Tadder aims to create images that speak to the viewer through their dynamism and originality. Tim’s photo series, “Water Wigs” which depicts bald models with suspended-liquid: hair, hats, and feather boas, certainly encapsulates his goal.
Shot in the pitch black with a high-speed flash, Tim manages to capture the exact moment the balloon ruptures. The balloon is either dropped from above onto the model’s head, or a long balloon is draped over the model’s head, neck, and shoulders. A microphone that detects the sound of the popping balloon triggers the shot.
