When asked to design a trade show stand for a company that doesn’t sell consumer products, design studio Wroom cleverly created a display which itself became the exhibited product.
Baerlocher is one of the world’s leading plastic additive suppliers. This was enough to inspire the design team to create a repeating spatial structure in the shape of the chemical makeup of a plastic molecule. According to Wroom, “It’s built out of different polyhedrons and can be [unwound and reconstructed] regularly. Similar to molecules, they are self-supporting and modular…” Using cutting-edge 3D software and CNC-production the trade show display booth vision was successfully realized.
