As if attempting to bring the effect of an underwater pool light right into your home the clever designers at Torafu Architects have created the ‘water balloon’ light.

The single hanging bulb design appears as if a dense clear liquid is oozing out of the socket.

Inside the ‘bulb’ is a universe of bubbles that function to reflect and diffuse the light and illuminate the surrounding space.

The oozing liquid is actually glass made from melted and recycled fluorescent light bulbs.

The Water Balloon lamp is backlit with LEDs producing a clean and mysterious glow – a fun accessory for any room.
