The patterned snow etchings below are not the works of an artistic Yeti or aliens, but rather they are made by a British man named Simon Beck. Since 2004 Beck has created hundreds of snow art pieces with footprints as his only tool.
His truly unique form of art is also an extremely delicate one, easily blown away by wind or covered by snowfall the next day. However, to create each piece Beck sketches the design in advance then spends an average of 10 hours walking with snow shoes, a compass, and measuring tape for company. The final results can span the size of six football fields!
