Sometimes the simplest form of design can make the biggest impact. David Laferriere has set out to spice-up packing a daily lunch while at the same time adding a little anticipation to the school day for his teen sons. The father of two draws silly illustrations on the outside of his kids’ sandwich bags every day.
Laferriere uses multiple colors on clear plastic to create stories, series and single images. The works represent holidays, abstract compositions, humor and more depending on the day. The monsters, robots and animals he creates are simple in nature and have found their own place in design-infamy through his popular Sharpie-sandwich bag image collection on Flickr!
