Retired electric guitars find new life as Guitar Ear-o Headphones

Carina Ostermayer is the maker of The Guitar Ear-o headphones. She is doing her part to reuse and recycle by appropriating parts from trashed defect guitars and creating new life in the form of stylish headphones. It feels natural that the sadly disabled guitars go onto do something that they are expert in, like when baseball players retire from from the game but stay to manage the team.  Who knows sound better then the instrument?

The different parts of the Guitar Ear-o are recognizable upon close inspection. The guitar fingerboard is appropriated into the over-head band, and the round speaker-muffs are machined right out of the the guitar body leaving the gloss finish of the original wood as a hint to a previous life.
