Amazing ‘Anthill Art’ formed by pouring molten metal into nests

Have you ever wondered what the underground tunnel maze of an anthill looks like? The guys at Anthill Art create three-dimensional models of the unseen cities by pouring molten metal throughout the interior. The molten slides underground and penetrates each passageway, pocket, and crevice resulting in an incredible 3D sculpture object.

The bio-sculptures display a variety of different nest types that vary based on species. The large carpenter ants make simple branch-style homes and the fire ants create crazy-complex mazes up to ten feet deep!
