Glow-in-the-dark ice cream made from jellyfish

Bristol-based specialty ice cream-maker Charlie Harry Francis has developed a unique ice cream which glows in the dark when licked. How do you develop such a spectacular treat? With jellyfish protein of course! Francis was inspired to make the innovative ice cream by “this amazing scientist from China” who has managed to synthesize the luminescent protein from jellyfish which he used in his recipe.

Francis tried the ice cream himself and reported that he is not glowing anywhere so it is probably safe to eat.

I am curious what jellyfish tastes like? Unfortunately, I may never know because even if this it was commercially produced it would cost nearly $225 per scoop!
