New concept design gives M&M’s a fresh brand facelift

The M&M’s packaging has become a candy icon. This is priceless marketing for the company but that paper pouch package design is becoming increasingly outdated with each passing moment.  New York designer Alyssa Phillips has offered up a brand and package redesign for the famous chocolates. Hey M&M’s… are you listening?

First, Phillips has opted to modernize the company brand now simply called ‘M’s.’ Next, the old pouch gets a sleek facelift with a hexagonal cardboard box and resealable top. This box mimics the shape and fun colorful experience of the traditional M&M’s.

Do you like the vintage image of M&M’s or should the famous company take a hint?
