Designers in Taipei used discarded lamp posts to create this playground

Instead of using discarded objects for the mere purposes of art, why not use them to redesign a public space?

Taipei seems to have done just that with unwanted lamp posts by reshaping them for use in a public park in the middle of the city. The public playground project, “Swings Park,” came about as a joint project between Taipei-based design studio City Yeast and Spanish art collective Basurma. The design was a result of Design Capital 2016, which aims to use public design as a catalyst for urban evolution. The Swings Park is here to stay through 2017 and you can learn more on their website.
