Walking backwards, in reverse. That’s right, it’s a double negative. What was captured as a single man waking through Tokyo in reverse, is played back as one man walking forward while rest of the population weirdly moves backwards.
French new media artist, Simon Bouisson, used the double negative to spin things a little bit differently in his film ‘Tokyo Reverse.’ His friend and collaborator, Ludovic Zuilli, even took dance lessons before filming in attempt to portray a more natural movement while walking backwards.
