What would happen if wild animals took over the metro system? For photo series ‘Animétro,’ French photographers Clarisse Rebotier and Thomas Subtil attempt to visualize an alternate world where jungle animals like giraffes, ostriches and zebras become your everyday public transportation commuters. In the well-composed black-and-white shots, the animals appear to be patiently waiting for the next train or asking humans for directions. In one image a lion even attempts fare evasion. Bad lion!

In real life, wild animals roaming free in Paris would be quite a scary situation, but somehow these whimsical photographs actually make it look like a lot of fun!
