Jason deCaires Taylor has a unique niche in the art world. Taylor makes underwater sculpture parks from concrete that are filled with figures in a variety of narrative scenarios. My favorite is the humorous 21st century theme where you can find sculptures of people doing things like eating a cheeseburger, bankers with their heads in the sand, or large groups of people just kind of lingering.
His concrete sculpture parks aim to improve endangered marine life. First, it helps the ocean creatures by providing a base for corals to proliferate. The parks also act as a tourist attraction to bring more people to see his art and less people to disturb the endangered reefs.
You can see his parks by diving off the beautiful coasts of Mexico and Grenada.
