New York City based Photographer Victoria Will’s newest venture is a faux-antiquated series of celebs she photographed at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival in January. In the series, titled ‘Tintypes’, Will used the tintype method that was prevalent in the 1860s. In this photo printing technique a direct image is created on a thin sheet of iron coated with dark lacquer. The process creates photos that look like something from the Wild West, which plays well with the landscape of Sundance, Utah.
Some of the celebrities she photographed include Kristin Stewart, Sam Shepherd, Anne Hathaway, Jesse Eisenberg, Willem Dafoe and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.
