The Timbre desktop speakers were designed by three Stanford engineering graduate students. The project took shape as a result of the team’s passion for audio fidelity and beautiful minimalist design. Timbre was launched on Kickstarter, where it exceeded its pledge goal by a huge margin.
The stainless steel cover is a departure from the usual speaker diaphragm design you may be used to, while the alder wood housing creates a look that is both timeless and ultra-modern. The Timbre is a reminder that audio equipment should not just sound good, it should look good, too.
