Immersive wooden interior design in modern topographic style

This sculptural topographic interior is the recent work of design firm Kengo Kuma. The floors and steps and furniture of the ‘Shun*Shoku Lounge’ are all made up of offset and layered panels of wood. The space was created for the japanese restaurant guide Gurunavi.

The topographical theme flows throughout the 82 square meter space and features tables, counters, and a reception desk making an interesting environment for all types of social events. This innovative immersive design functions as decor, atmosphere and furniture and creates a truly unique interior experience.
