Fashionable bags made from recycled billboards

Every year the United States throws away six hundred thousand tons of old billboard vinyl sheeting.

None of this vinyl sheeting is biodegradable so it sits in the landfill forever.

But now a company from Columbus Ohio called Foragerbags is upcycling this otherwise landfilled vinyl and turning it into durable and fashionable bags.

Foragerbag’s designers add distinctive features to the Forager Bag that allow them to be used as a tote or worn as a backpack.

Because billboards are large, most of the images on the bags are bright and form abstractions.

And when you buy the bag, Foragerbags plants a tree in your name.
