A new 2014 calendar by Amber Lotus Publishing highlights the best in environmental art. The beautifully photographed calendar was curated by Aleta Florentin. Environmental art incorporates natural surroundings in ways that surprise the eye and bring enhanced meaning to nature.
Some artists rearrange natural found objects, like stones, twigs or logs into large outdoor installations. Others interject man-made objects into nature; bringing man’s effect on nature into focus. But at the root of all the art is the desire to help mankind better understand the environment in which he lives and the effect that he is having on the Earth.
