Swiss photographer Fabian Oefner specializes in capturing the millisecond moments that the human eyes cannot see. Through high speed photography and complex lighting he is able to snap the fleeting beauty of rainbow-colored soap bubbles while they are mid-burst.
The “Iridient” series was inspired the Zurich-based photographer’s memories of blowing bubbles as a youngster. These images are the wondrous visions from the eye of an awestruck kid. The shapes of the bubbles can resemble mysterious space orbs, otherworldly creatures, or just very short-lived nature sculptures.
