3D print your dinner with ‘Foodini.’ The future of kitchen appliances?

The Foodini is a new device that utilizes 3D printing technology to perform common home cooking tasks that are monotonous and time consuming. This machine will ‘roll’ out dough, fill individual ravioli with stuffing and even craft cookies!

The Foodini, made by Natural Machines, is designed to look like your typical appliance. The stainless steel box could even be mistaken for some sort of microwave. It works by extruding a ‘paste’ of the users choice and can produce doughs, crackers, chocolate sculptures, and anything else you can squeeze out of a tube! The hope is that this machine will perform time consuming cooking tasks and encourage more people to cook from scratch in their home.

Will 3D printing food-prep devices become as common as the microwave? Only time will tell…
