Miniscule sculptures of skeleton fairies by Tessa Farmer

UK’s Tessa Farmer has no interested in the Disney version of fairies. Instead, her miniscule sculptures of skeleton fairies surrounding dead insects are macabre, eerie and slightly creepy. All constructed from organic matter, these little sinister underworld creatures are a part of “Control Under Nature”, her art project in collaboration with Brazilian electronic musician Amon Tobin for his album “Isam”, released in 2011.

Beautifully photographed by Pelle Crépin and designed by Swede studio Oscar & Ewan, these images are futuristic, alien and impressive in their microscopic nature. They are collected in a limited edition hardback artbook/CD which is still available for order on Amazon
