Ghostly house made entirely of silk by Do Ho Suh

Do Ho Suh is world renowned for his giant sculptures of silk architecture. His newest installation is currently on view at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul, Korea.

This astonishing installation is a home within a home. It is a replica of the artist’s most recent American house, in Rhode Island, paired with a replica of his childhood home hovering gently inside. The entire piece is crafted from transparent silk which hangs from the ceiling. The hovering effect along with the slight movement of the fabric creates an eerie ghost-like experience when viewing the piece.

Can you see his traditional Korean style house hovering inside of his American one? Very cool!
