A photographer hailing from Romania, Dan Cretu has worked his way into the art scene by creating fun, everyday objects from food and taking photographs of them. He merges his skills in sculpting and assemblage to fabricate familiar items which are represented in a “fresh”, new way.
He cuts, dices and forms the shapes out of these organic items and then photographs them. Dan says that his work is not altered digitally, and because of the medium’s nature, every object has to be made and photographed within 4 hours!
His fresh fruit and vegetable prints are available in his Etsy shop.
