Austrian architect designs gigantic pizza-baking disco ball

This massive disco ball turns at about one revolution per minute. But this is not your typical mirrored 70’s decor, it is a pizza-baking disco ball. Austrian architect Lukas Galehr was tasked with designing a pizzeria that gave off a 1970’s and 1980’s “Italo-Disco” vibe with a southern Italian atmosphere. What a combo!

At the push of a button, the shiny oven begins to rotate and the disco dinner begins. The massive ball of reflectivity, housed under the roof of the recently-opened “Diso Volante” in Vienna, is sure to lighten things up. It spins in circles and cooks pizza for all of the hungry awestruck restaurant goers. We can only hope that the pizza dough in not from the 70’s as well!
